It’s amazing how two little pink lines can change your life so much! For those of you who havent heard yet… We’re Expecting!!! Yep, looks like, Good Lord willing, we’ll have another new little one around the middle of July! It’s early yet, and we know much can happen, but we’re too excited to not share.
Just thinking through what a second child means for us is both exciting and freaky at the same time. So much change! We’re in a two bedroom house, so figuring out where this new baby will go and how Vienna will share her room with the baby and such has been fun. It’s been freaky to think that we’ve got to go through the nerve wracking process of applying for OHP (which you never know if you are going to qualify for… so it’s nervewracking until you get that approval!) if we don’t get approved, having no insurance, it will be interesting to see how the Lord provides for this little one! It’s a scary prospect with human eyes!! But thus far we’ve been well taken care of.
We are in Ohio and had the wonderful pleasure of letting Sam’s parents know in person, it’s a wonderful thing since they are serving in Ukraine and we never quite know when next we will see them. We also get to let my Aunt (GABY) and some of my cousins know as well. (and mabye even my other aunt and uncle). Such fun.
Anyway… just wanted to post. Since we were leaving for Ohio like two days after we found out, I’m not exactly sure who I had a chance to tell and who I didn’t … so if I failed to let you know, I’m very sorry
Much love to you all!

Upon arriving safely to Sarah and Bill’s house (Sam’s eldest sister and her husband) Vienna, within five minutes had a goose egg on the back of her head!! She had walked over to a side table and knocked a lamp onto the back of her head. The next day she got this lovely litttle gem:

I sat and watched as my daughter took a full on, hands free, full body weight headder into the corner of the wall!!!! Talk about freaky!! She handled it well, infact she cried more that night when I cut her off from having more icecream than she did when she hit her head!!! I didn’t have my camera with me yesterday, probably a good thing, cause it was MUCH worse yesterday!! Soooo ugly!!!
Then there is Thor… Hours of entertainment as far as Vienna is concerned. He’s Bill & Sarah Chihuahua. Thor, on the other hand is still not so sure Vienna is a good thing. She spends much of the day chaising him around, he chases back sometimes too, but mostly it is her chasing him.

She’s done quite well with Thor. She pets him very gently, but she does like to put her face in his… she also enjoys sharing her binky with him!!! We try to ask her not to on that one!! Oh well…

We went to visit Vienna’s Uncle Billy at work today. It was quite a treat. I (mom) am EXAUSTED! We got to see all of the animals that they use at the school for teaching. Aligators, Tortuses, Turdles, Iguana’s, Camelions, Gilla Monsters, Monitors, Toads, Lizards (bearded dragons), and snakes snakes and more snakes!!! Some poisonous, some that will just squeeze you to death, and a few harmlessones too.
We went into the snake room, which is kept quite warm, and immediatly all of the rattle snakes were TICKED OFF!! The room is FULL of snakes, like hundreds of snakes in a little room, and there’s maybe a 4 foot path betwen the two cages, so you are up close and personal with these snakes… Did I mention I’m hodling my baby girl!??! Eeewwww… now, I touched the harmelss ones that Bill was holding… but this room was a little nerve wracking!

Immediatly upon entering, one rattler in particular didn’t like us being there at all. Let me tell you, listening to them shake their rattles is QUITE unnerving!!! I did great until I stood next to the one cage too long, I had to go back to where the part of the room where there is only one side of the room with snakes… of course that’s where they are just in these plastic tubs… Jen, you’d have NEVER made it!! Way too close… but it was really cool.

Vienna was quite nervous with all the animals, but very much wanted to get close and touch them (don’t worry mom, she didn’t touch any of them, I wouldn’t let her and she never truely tried!) It was fun. However, I’m exhausted!! hopefully I can get the photo’s added in here…

Vienna just made the biggest “Dirt” in her life!!!!!! by that I mean, she filled her drawers to capacity and then some!!! then…. joy of my joy… she stuck her foot in it!! But no, it doesn’t end there… as I’m taking off her socks (ThankYou for having socks on today!!!!) and trying to find a place to deposit them and not contaminate anything else… She grabs a hand full!!!! Ok, a handful may be an exageration, but still she grabbed some ***big sigh*** Thankfully we averted the disaster of face touching just in time
ahhh… another day in mommy-hood.

Stacks and piles. Vienna hates them. At least it feels that way. I’ve been trying to clean all day long. Four times now I have taken the living room blankets/pillows and stacked them nicely on the foot stool where they are usually kept. Not one minute later did she run over and start pulling them to the floor. Now, she’ll do this when she’s ready for her nap, she’ll lay down on them and rest… but today she is bouncing off the walls, running all about and terrorizing the house!! There’s not a cupboard that she is happy having closed, nor an item on a shelf that is safe!!! Why don’t I have a soaking jacuzzi tub!?!?!?!??!
To make matters worse, I’m not feeling well at all today, and am a bit paranoid as well. As my “luck” would have it, I haven’t bought those Totino’s Pizza’s since shortly after we got back to the states (you just gotta have some of those old childhood favorites). As of late I’ve needed some ‘quick meal/snack’ options, so, since Safeway had them on sale for $1 each… I got five… and yes, all five were on the recall list… but since it was Tuesday and I was in a huge hurry to get through my day, I came right home and had one before finding out about the recall on Thursday!!! I have had cramps since Tuesday, but I don’t think I’m going to get full on sick, we’ll see… I’ve got a few more days in the “incubation/danger zone” Time will tell…
Eleven days until our trip to Ohio… I hope I can hold it together!!
