CONGRATULATIONS SARAH!!

May10

CONGRATULATIONS SARAH!!  Last weekend Sarah (Sam’s eldest sibling) graduated from Malone College (School of Nursing!) in Ohio.  Waahoooo!  We’re so proud!  I just got the photo’s in the mail today from Mom Bible so I thought I”d blog a congratulations to her!

Here she is with one of her professors… it’s ok though, she married him a few years ago :)

Here’s Bill and Sare all decked out in their fancy Grad-jee-a-shun clothes.

With Mom and Dad Bible

And with Grandma & Grandpa Oswalt.

Unfortunately, we weren’t able to go back for the graduation oursleves (I figured I would be way too pregnant to fly… and I was right!! and we were broke anyway:) ) We were sad to miss it!  And sad to miss Mom & Dad Bible who came from Ukraine to attend her graduation! (not to mention being able to see G&G and the extended family as well).  But we were there in spirit!
Anyway… We hope some day that they will move back here to Oregon… any prayers in that direction would be appreciated. Especially since Sarah is INCREDIBLE with painting murals on walls and stuff… so talented, and I need a little help in that department :)   Tee hee hee…

But Great Job Sarah and Good Luck finding a great job out there!!!
MUCH LOVE FROM ALL OF US!!!

Princess Day

May9

Everyone needs a Princess Day.  Ours started off when my friend Mary Lou IM’d me saying she needed to escape!  She is getting ready to go on vacation (don’t we all have a tough time getting it all pulled together!?!?) and just needed a break from all that entails.  So, she and her daughter Dacia Grace came down to play with us.  Dacia put on her Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) dress, and brought Vienna a princess dress too! Snow White!!  I had put Vienna down for a nap before Mary Lou and Dacia arrived, but Vienna was having none of that!  She did not nap at all.  So, hearing Dacia was here she got up and put on her little princess dress too.  They played here around the house for a while before Mary Lou and I decided that we really needed to do something “princessy” for ourselves too… at least our style :)   We decided we needed to head out to a thrift store :)   Then to the mall to do some exchanges.

Before we left, Mary Lou read the girls “The Princess and the Pea” (which by the way Vienna has asked me to read no less than 8 times today…. i think it was more!) and then we headed off.

The girls seemed to LOVE being in their dresses, often they showed people their dresses :)   it was soo cute!

At the trift store the girls both were reading books together and played together… if ever Vienna was in my cart and we got out of sight of Dacia she would cry out “Oh Dacia!” or “Dacia Mommy”.  The girls were very patient.  We left there and took the girls to the outlet mall (I had to exchange some jeans I had finally broken down and bought for Sam since half his pants have holes in them at the moment!), and they were good about waiting to play in the “Tree House”.  So… after a quick snack of giant pretzels (Vienna ate half of Dacia’s cheese burger on the way to the Thrift store… my daughter… champion of eating everyone but her own meal!!) we were off to the Tree!

While we were there the girls saw a mall worker.  She happened to be an Old Believer, who wear long dresses that are fairly flowing, and her dress was made out of a beautiful purple shiny fabric and she was a very pretty girl.  Dacia thought that she looked like a grown up princess.  That was great fun!

Mary Lou had to take over by the time we got to the tree! I was worn out!!  So I sat on the chairs around the tree and took pictures while she chased the girls around the tree! Thanks Mary Lou!!!! :)

All in all it was a great day!  The girls had a BLAST!  Vienna really enjoyed having another kid around… and Mary Lou and I got some great “Girl” time that mommy’s really need.  Mommy’s are princesses too you know!!!

Ten Weeks…

May5

Last week I hit the 29th week of my pregnancy, that left eleven weeks until my due date.  This seemed like a really short time, I was excited.  On Thursday I hit the 30th week mark, leaving me with only ten weeks until my due date… so why all of a sudden does it feel like ten weeks is going to be forever!?!?!?!

I’m sure part of it is that I’ve had the flu for the last few days.  I just can’t seem to catch a break this whole pregnancy! It’s been one thing after another, morning sickness, nasty cold, more morning sickness, general discomfort when trying to sleep, karate baby trying to kick her way out, and now the flu.  Poor Sam… It’s been tough for him too.  He’s still doing the lions share of poopie diaper changing! Vienna doesn’t much like mommy’s puking either, it tends to scare her, I can’t believe how much I’ve puked in the last 30 weeks!  you’d think I would have lost more weight, but I’m still rapidly growing out of all my pants!  I’m huge, I can’t imagine getting bigger and hopefully wont!  Still haven’t taken a good “big belly” shot, may have to do that later this afternoon and post it… of course that would require me getting dressed decently :) tee hee hee… we’ll see, I do have to go out today and do a bunch of errands, so… we’ll see what I accomplish. I’ve at least gotten my hair done.

Anyway, maybe the Lord will show me mercy and this baby won’t be late like Vienna was! :)   I just pray that she comes when she’s ready and healthy :) I can make it, in the long run it’s not that bad.
